A collection partner for agencies and data vendors
Your client needs real-world video, audio or images collected. GoKuna runs the collection: turning the spec into a task, recruiting contributors, and reviewing every submission against the spec. You keep the client relationship.
What we run for you
We turn the client's spec into a task contributors can follow, recruit adults in the countries you need, collect the recordings and review each one against the spec. Only accepted work is paid for and delivered.
You do not need a contributor network, a capture app or a review team. You need the spec and the deadline.
Your client stays yours
Contributors never see who the data is for. We quote you, we report progress to you, and questions about the spec come to you.
What we can collect
First-person video of household tasks, long-form point-of-view recording, everyday objects filmed from set angles, ambient household sound, handwriting written to set phrases, and in-person sessions with devices such as smart glasses.
Each one runs through the same flow: a written brief, a reservation, a recording, a preview by the contributor, and a review against the brief.
What you can specify for the client
The capture instructions, video or still images, minimum and maximum clip length, whether audio is required, file formats and maximum file size, the number of submissions, and which countries contributors can be in.
If the client's spec is loose, we send back the questions that need answers before collection starts, so the first batch matches what they meant and not only what they wrote.
Scoping a collection with your client
Agree three things with the client before you send the brief. What the data is for, because that decides which details matter. What varies and what stays fixed: usually the camera position and clip structure stay fixed while the people, places and objects vary. And how acceptance works: the checks a clip must pass to count.
Then agree a small first batch. The client reviews it, the spec is tightened, and the full volume runs on the brief that worked.
Consent your client can rely on
Contributors are adults who confirm they are 18 or over and only submit media they are allowed to share. They grant a licence to train and evaluate machine learning models, including on behalf of GoKuna's customers. The consent terms are recorded with every task, so you can answer the client's legal team with the exact terms that applied.
Questions clients ask, answered in advance
Who recorded this? Adults who chose to take part and were paid per accepted submission. Can it be used commercially? Yes, for training and evaluating models. Were bystanders filmed? Contributors are told to keep identifiable people out of frame without permission, and review checks it. Was every clip checked? Yes, by a person, against the spec.
Where a collection partner fits
Most agencies and data vendors are built around annotation, model work or the client relationship. Collection is a different job: finding people in the right countries, explaining the task so they record it the same way, and checking every file before it is counted. Doing it in-house means building a contributor network for one client and then letting it go quiet.
GoKuna already runs that flow for every task. Your client's brief becomes one more task in it, with its own spec, volume and review, and you add the parts your client hired you for.
What we need from you
The client's spec as they wrote it, even if it is rough. The volume they need and the deadline. The countries contributors can be in. Anything that must never appear in a recording, such as faces, screens, brand names or documents. And who on your side answers questions about the spec, so nothing waits on the client.
With that, we send back a quote and a draft of the task as contributors will read it, so you and your client can check the wording before collection starts.
Send the brief
Paste the client's requirements, volume, regions and deadline into the form. We reply by email with a quote and any questions we need answered before collection starts.
Do contributors know who the client is?
No. Neither your agency nor your client is named to contributors.
Can we run several client collections at once?
Yes. Each brief runs as its own task with its own spec, volume, regions and review, so one client's collection never mixes with another's.
What does it cost?
It depends on the kind of data, the volume and the regions. Send the brief and we reply with a quote before anything starts.
Can the client review the first batch?
Yes. Start with a small first batch, have the client check it, and scale once the spec is right.
