AI data collection services, run to your brief
GoKuna collects real-world training data to order. You describe what you need; GoKuna turns it into short recording tasks, recruits adult contributors to complete them on their phones, and reviews every submission against your requirements. The result is data recorded for your purpose, with consent and licensing settled before the first clip.
What GoKuna collects
Video of everyday objects filmed from two sides on a clear surface. Ambient household sound, such as a kettle, a tap or a drawer, recorded without voices. Photographs of handwriting samples written to set phrases. First-person household clips filmed at head height. Long-form point-of-view footage from a head or chest mount.
These are the task types running today. A brief describes what you need within the same capture flow: video or still images recorded on a phone, with or without audio.
How a collection runs
You send a brief. GoKuna replies by email with a quote, and scope and price are agreed before anything is collected. The brief then becomes one or more tasks, each with capture instructions, clip duration limits, accepted formats, a maximum file size, the number of submissions wanted and, where needed, the countries contributors must be in.
Contributors see the task, its requirements and its reward before they reserve it. They record, preview and upload. A person reviews each submission against the stated requirements. Accepted submissions become part of your delivered dataset. For a rejected one, the contributor sees the reason and can record again while the task stays open.
Why a written brief matters
Off-the-shelf data is collected for someone else's purpose. A brief lets you fix the details that decide whether data is usable for yours: which objects or activities, what angle, how long, what light, what must never appear. Contributors follow the same written instructions, and review holds every submission to them.
That consistency is what lets many recordings from many homes be treated as one dataset.
Contributors and consent
Contributors are adults, 18 or older, who sign up with an email address and their country and agree to only submit media they are authorized to share. Each task records the consent terms that applied. Capture rules tell contributors to keep identifiable bystanders, private information and other people's property out of frame without permission.
Contributors keep ownership of their recordings and grant a licence for training and evaluating machine learning models, including on behalf of GoKuna's customers. Your organisation is not named to contributors.
Fair pay, stated up front
Each contributor sees the reward before reserving a task, and that amount is locked when they reserve. They are paid through Stripe after their submission is accepted, with no fee taken from them. GoKuna runs and pays for every collection, so contributors deal with one platform and one set of terms.
Paying only for accepted work keeps contributors focused on your requirements rather than on volume.
Choosing a data collection service
Whichever service you use, ask the same questions. Who are the contributors, and did they agree to this use? Is consent recorded against each task? What licence do you receive? Who reviews each item against your requirements, and what happens to work that misses? How are contributors paid, and is the pay stated before they work? Can collection be limited to the countries you need?
GoKuna answers each of these in writing: adult contributors who agree to only submit authorized media, consent terms recorded per task, a licence for training and evaluating machine learning models, human review against your requirements, rewards stated before reservation and paid through Stripe, and country limits on any task.
Writing a good first brief
Say what you want recorded and how many, where contributors should be, how you will use the data, and any budget or timing you have in mind. If a detail matters to your model, such as camera height, clip length or background, put it in the brief. It becomes an instruction contributors follow and a rule reviewers check.
The form takes a brief of up to 2,000 characters. Anything more detailed can follow by email.
What kinds of data can you collect?
Video and still images recorded on a phone, with or without audio: objects, household sound, handwriting, first-person activity and long-form point-of-view footage.
Do you collect text or label existing data?
GoKuna collects new recordings from contributors. Describe your project in a brief and GoKuna will tell you in the reply what it can collect for it.
How is quality controlled?
A person reviews every submission against your stated requirements before it is accepted. Only accepted submissions are delivered or paid.
Who are the contributors?
Adults, 18 or older, who sign up with their own email address and country and agree to only submit media they are authorized to share.
Can collection be limited to certain countries?
Yes. Any task can be restricted to contributors in specific countries.
How do I get a price?
Send a brief. GoKuna replies by email with a quote, and scope and price are agreed before collection starts.
